Well, we knew this had been happening obviously since the publication of Banerjee's small book. Anyway, now that the Brookings book was published, we can tell how the debate has been progressed. In Japan, the Enjoji award given to Prof. Sawada would push the Japanese "aid community" towards RE path. It's a good and healthy thing given that the Japan's official aid institution tends to create a small "bonsai" with human story in the "bald mountain". RE is clearly better than bonsai in the bald mountain for Buddha sake.
